Jazz Choreography Enterprises (JCE)
Vice President, Board of Directors
JCE is a not-for-profit whose mission is to promote the creation of original jazz dance in concert form. JCE’s goal is to keep jazz dance thriving by presenting the JCE Jazz Dance Project, a semiannual dance concert featuring jazz choreography by emerging and established artists in various jazz styles.
I have been a Junior Board Member since 2019, and in 2022 was elected Vice President of the Board of Directors. In my role as VP, I support the stewardship of our strategic direction and have created the board's organizational structure to help our members engage in our core functions of Communications, Fundraising, Production, and Educational Programming. I led the redesign efforts for the organization's logo (seen here) to celebrate our 15th anniversary in 2022.

Institute for Arts Integration & STEAM
Arts Integration Winter Summit Presenter
As a student of the Institute for Arts Integration & STEAM's certification cohort, I had the opportunity to present at the 2019 Arts Integration Summit for a virtual audience of over 600 people.
My presentation was titled Leveraging Teaching Artists in the Classroom, highlighting the benefits of Social-Emotional Learning by integrating the National Arts and Common Core Standards. In addition, I spoke to the positive socio-economical impacts of bolstering the arts in communities and local artists in schools.
School of the New York Times
Gap Year Program - Guest Speaker
In February 2020, I was honored to be invited to speak with a group of young students who opted to take a Gap Year between high school and college via a program managed through the School of the New York Times. My talk centered on fostering creativity into adulthood, following your gut, and holding on to your passions.
ArtsHouse
Think Tank Participant
I participated in the 2020 ArtsHouse Think Tank, supporting the new non-profit project whose mission is to chronicle the history of art and artists in society, health, social justice, activism, peace, education, and civic practice. As a member of this initial cohort, we examined the essential role of the arts for
individuals, communities, and society; how to catalyze dialogues on the power and impact of the arts.
Motore592 Contemporary Art Space
Launch Committee Member
After my experience dancing with Stefanie Nelson through her program Dance Italia and working with her through promoting her New York-based dance ensemble SNDg, I was passionate about creating a permanent home for the Dance Italia program in Lucca, Italy and further advancing the arts abroad. In the summer of 2021, I joined as an inaugural member of the Motore592 Launch Committee. Motore592 is a bold, new, multi-disciplinary contemporary art space in the heart of Lucca, supporting a wide range of artistic expression. My main focus within this team was to bolster the artist-in-residence programming and partnerships with other like-minded institutions. Learn more here.
Arts Education &
Dance/Movement Studies
Dance has been a large part of my life for over 20 years and has granted me amazing experiences to travel, meet life-long friends and learn so many important life lessons. While I did not pursue dance professionally, I consider myself lucky to have had continued opportunities to perform into my adult life while balancing a career in another discipline.
I have been a part-time dance educator for the last 10 years and recently have taken a deeper interest in dance education, Somatics, and injury prevention for dancers. I have earned accredited certifications from NYU School of Medicine in Dance Medicine & Injuries, Laban Institute of Movement Studies, and the Online Institute for Arts Integration and STEAM.
I am available as a freelance Guest Teaching Artist for technique, conditioning, performance, and improv/creativity workshops.
